The Los Angeles Times has compiled a number of high-resolution, staff photographs of the Station Fire raging in the Angeles National Forest in southern California.

The page of large photographs can be found here and a gallery of images can be found here.

The fire, which has burned more than 100,000 acres and more than 50 structures, shows now sign of slowing down as it expands through the San Gabriel Mountains north of downtown Los Angeles.

Mt. Wilson, home to a number of television and radio broadcasting towers and the Mt. Wilson Observatory, is still under threat from the advancing flames.  A live webcam showing the mountain top, operated by the University of California, Los Angeles, can be viewed here.
